Pet sitter responsibilities
Attending your home a few times a weekly to check on pet
Feeding, fill their bowl with fresh water

What to expect working with us.

Our agency meets the pet sitter face-to-face and checks their identity, social media, references, pet documents, police checks, and qualifications.

Once we are aware of your requirements and a family registration is completed, we commence the searches by alerting our nanny and pet minder database, job advertising campaign, screen profiling every application, phone-screen, interview, sight pet qualifications, validity and identity, reference checks and other verification checks.

We provide guidance to get you prepared and throughout the interview process.

Upon a successful shortlist, we will only represent to your family our top candidates and coordinate an interview between the minder and your family in the comfort of your home. It is particularly important to get your fur babies involved; let's face it, they are the ultimate decision makers!

We will obtain feedback to ensure the perfect fit and liaise directly with the sitter to confirm a start date.

We check back with both you and the pet sitter once employment has begun to ensure that both parties are happy.
Costs to hire a pet sitter
Our placement fees range from $100 to $2,730 depending on the nature of the role. Please call one of our consultants for more information.
If you choose to recruit a pet sitter + house sitter through Mini Connections, there is no registration fee! We simply charge a one-off recruitment placement fee and provide a five-day guarantee! A 45% non-refundable deposit is paid upfront, and the balance is due upon confirmation, after which we will release the candidate to you.
As an employer, you will be responsible for payment directly to the minder, and it is important that you are emailed a weekly invoice to ensure prompt payment. Mini Connections do not pay nannies or minders, although are partnered with CarePayCo a domestic payroll company.
